The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Begusarai Muffasil P.S. Case No. 255 of 2017 instituted for offence under Sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner is alleged to have fired from his weapon killing the mother of the informant. The cause of the occurrence is stated to be an earlier dispute in the year 2012 when the petitioner has committed the murder of the father of the informant in which the deceased of the present case was an eye witness. Pressure was being exerted on the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.26967 of 2020(2) dt.19-10-2020 2/2 deceased for compromising the case.

The petitioner is stated to be in custody since 14.02.2020.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to him. However, looking at the period of custody of the petitioner, this Court directs that the trial of the petitioner be expedited.
