This application for regular bail arises out of Sultanganj P.S. Case No. 167 of 2017, disclosing offence punishable under Sections 307, 120-B/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Later on, Section 302 of the IPC was also added. The petitioner is in custody since 12.02.2018. His prayer for regular bail was earlier rejected by this Court by an order dated 19.03.2020, considering the nature of accusation and his long criminal antecedent.

Mr. Yogesh Chandra, learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that coaccused Ravi Chaudhary @ Ravi Shankar has been allowed

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.34748 of 2021(2) dt.04-08-2021 2/2 regular bail by this Court and that there is no likelihood of the petitioner fleeing from the course of trial.

Considering the petitioner's period of custody in the present case, this application is allowed with clear observation that he shall present himself before the trial court on each and every date as and when required and in case of default, the court below shall be obliged to cancel his bail bonds. Let the petitioner, above-named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/-(ten thousand), with two sureties of the like amount, each to the satisfaction of learned A.C.J.M.-VI, Patna City, Patna, in Sultanganj P.S. Case No. 167 of 2017.
