By the impugned judgment, the application of the applicant-wife for allowing maintenance under Section 125 Cr.P.C. is allowed and the learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Jehanabad has been pleased to award a sum of Rs.2000/- per month as maintenance to the applicant no.1 from the date of the application.

On perusal of the impugned judgment it appears that in this case the marriage between the parties is not in dispute. In course of evidence, it has come that the wife has suffered injury on her spinal cord due to serious beating given by her in-laws and she suffers difficulty in moving and that she is under

Patna High Court CR. REV. No.946 of 2016(2) dt.17-11-2022 2/2 treatment. It has also come that she has no other source of income. She has denied suggestion that she earns Rs.6000/- per month by doing domestic help work. On the other hand it has come that OPW-1 is working as private contractor and he is earning Rs.20,000/- per months besides that he is also having some fertile land.

In the circumstances, this Court finds no error in the impugned judgment. Even otherwise the maintenance allowed is a paltry sum of Rs.2,000/- per month which needs no interference.

This revision application is dismissed.
