The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sherghati (Dobhi) P.S. Case No. 227 of 2020, dated 23.05.2020, instituted for the offences under Sections 414 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

It appears from the prosecution report that 432 litres of liquor was recovered from a vehicle which was being

It is the case of the petitioner that he did not know that the aforesaid consignment of liquor has been stored in the vehicle which he was asked to drive.

The petitioner is in custody since 24.05.2020 and claims to be a person of clean antecedents.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioner and his period of custody, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Excise, Gaya in connection with Sherghati (Dobhi) P.S. Case No. 227 of 2020.

The application stands allowed.
