Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the land of the petitioner has been acquired under the National Highway Act for construction of national highway. He further submits that the Circle Officer of the area concerned has held an enquiry and determined the nature of the land and verified the right, title and possession of the petitioner inclusive the area under acquisition. He has further submitted that the award has been prepared but, no payment has been made to the petitioner as yet. Learned counsel for the State submits that the award is
Patna High Court CWJC No.18674 of 2014 dt.12-09-2017 ready and the payment will be made to the petitioner expeditiously. Let the competent authority should release the amount of compensation to the petitioner if the compensation amount has been arrived after proper enquiry under the National Highway Act and the same should be paid to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. With the aforementioned observation and direction, this application is disposed of.
