1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That this is an application for issuance of an appropriate writ order or direction commanding the respondents to grant salary of the petitioner for the period April 1997 till 31.07.2006 when he retired from the post of Senior Range Officer Biscoman, Hazaribagh not paid till date even though he had worked for the said period and for penal interest at 12% for delay or for any other order or orders which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the circumstances of the case."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.19514 of 2015(2) dt.27-09-2023 2/2 seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of the aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
