2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Madhepura P.S. Case No. 816 of 2024 instituted for the offences under Sections 96, 65(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and 4/6 of the POCSO Act.

3. Earlier, vide order dated 19.02.2025 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 81291 of 2024 by this Court, the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner was rejected.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24843 of 2025(5) dt.12-09-2025 2/3 vide order dated 19.02.2025 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 81291 of 2024 by this Court, the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner was rejected. This is the second attempt of the petitioner for grant of bail. Learned counsel mainly submitted that petitioner is in custody since 20.07.2024 and there is no likelihood of conclusion of trial in near future. Petitioner has one criminal antecedent.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner.

6. As per the report dated 08.07.2025 sent by the learned court below, the trial is at the stage of prosecution evidence and summons have been issued against all the chargesheeted witnesses. It is further reported that trial is likely to be concluded withing the next six months.

7. Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties, this Court finds no fresh ground to reconsider the matter which has already been decided on merit by this Court as also taking into account the present stage of trial, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

8. Accordingly, the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner is, hereby, rejected.

9. Learned Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial.
