2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Mairwan P.S. Case No. 400 of 2025 registered for the offence under Sections 8, 20(b)(ii)(c), 25 and 29 of the NDPS Act.
3. A total of 329 kg of ganja was recovered from the truck which was being driven by the petitioner. Petitioner is in custody since 27.09.2025.
4. Having considered the submissions of the parties and the materials on record and taking into account the substantial quantity of contraband allegedly recovered, this Court is not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.
5. Accordingly, this application for regular bail stands
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.25075 of 2026(2) dt.16-04-2026 2/2 rejected. The prosecution is directed to expedite the trial. The Superintendent of Police, Siwan is further directed to ensure the attendance of the witnesses in the trial on the dates fixed.
6. It is made clear that any observation made herein is prima facie in nature and limited solely for the purpose of adjudication of the present bail application. Such observations shall not be construed as an expression on the merits of the case and shall not influence the trial or any other proceedings in any manner.
7. Let a copy of this order be communicated to the Superintendent of Police, Siwan through FAX or e-mail for immediate compliance.
