Patna High Court CWJC No.9943 of 2020(4) dt.17-12-2021 2/3 to the Respondent-Authorities for payment of the bills submitted by the petitioner for supply of food articles during the Parliamentary Elections, 2019. It is the petitioner's grievance that certain amount has been decided to be deducted unreasonably and without any basis.
Learned counsel appearing for the State of Bihar, on the basis of instructions which he has received, submits that a Committee has been constituted to verify the genuineness of the bills submitted by the petitioner. He states that the RespondentAuthorities shall pay to the petitioner the amount which is found admissible to her.
Considering the facts and circumstances, this writ application is disposed of at this stage itself with a direction to the District Magistrate, Nalanda to take a final decision on the petitioner's claim for payments against the bills submitted by her within two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
It goes without saying that the amount, which is found admissible, must be paid to the petitioner forthwith. The petitioner shall, however, be at liberty to raise dispute before appropriate forum, if, according to her, the amount found admissible by the District Magistrate is less than her actual
