2. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to implead Hon'ble the Chancellor, Universities of Bihar, Raj Bhawan Patna - 1 as respondent No. 5 during course of the day .

3. Permission is accorded.

4. The present writ application has been filed for the following reliefs:- (i) For issuance of an appropriate writ/writs, order/orders to quash the officer order contained in Memo No.B/687 dated 02.03.2024 (Annexure-7) issued under signature of the Registrar, B.R.A. Bihar

Patna High Court CWJC No.6467 of 2024(2) dt.18-11-2024 2/3 University, Muzaffarpur (respondent no.3) by which the respondent no.4 Dr. Anita Singh, Professor has been authorized to discharge the duties and functions of office of the Principal of R.D.S. College, Muzaffarpur with immediate effect until further orders, though the petitioner is a senior professor in said college having being promoted to the rank of University Professor vide memo no-0241/R dated 27.2.2018 whereas the respondent no-4 was promoted as professor vide memo no-B/316 dated 13.2.2021.

(ii) To direct the respondents to allow the petitioner being senior most professor in R.D.S. College, Muzaffarpur to act as Professor In-charge/Principal of the said college.

5 . Learned counsel for the petitioner requests to dispose of the present writ application granting liberty to file representation before respondent No. 5 Hon'ble the Chancellor, Universities of Bihar, Raj Bhawan Patna for redressal of his grievance with all the necessary and supporting documents.

6. In view of the limited prayer made on behalf of petitioner, this writ application is disposed of with direction to petitioner to challenge the office order dated 02.09.2024 memo No. B/687 i. e,. Annexure - 7 before the Hon'ble Chancellor of the University within a period of four weeks from today and the office of the Hon'ble Chancellor is requested to take a decision in this regard and dispose of the same after affording proper
