The petitioner, invoking writ jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, has prayed for directing the Respondents to appoint him as constable in B.M.P.9, Jamalpur.

It was submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that pursuant to advertisement published in the year 1998, he applied for the post of constable. Though he was selected, at the

Patna High Court CWJC No.14157 of 2008 (2) dt.15-09-2015 2/2 time of joining on the ground of less height, he was refused joining. Learned counsel for the petitioner accepts that he was refused joining in the year 2000 itself, however the present writ petition was filed after eight years from the refusal. In view of the fact that the petitioner slumbered over his right for a long period, there is no reason to pass any positive order.

The writ petition stands dismissed.
