The petitioner is accused in connection with Sahebganj P.S. Case No. 375 of 2018 registered under Section 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
The accusation is of killing of the daughter of the informant by her husband and in-laws due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is the father-in-law of the deceased and no specific overt act with regard to torture and demand of dory has been made against the petitioner. It is further submitted that petitioner is in custody since 08.01.2019 and co-accused, Saraswati Devi
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.23666 of 2019(2) dt.12-04-2019 2/2 @ Surti Devi @ Sursati Devi has already been granted privilege of pre-arrest bail by a Bench of this Court vide order dated 01.02.2019 passed in Criminal Misc. No. 1680 of 2019. Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the case, the petitioner above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the A.C.J.M.-I, West, Muzaffarpur, in connection with Sahebganj P.S.
