JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 13-07-2023 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That the present writ application is being filed on behalf of the petitioner for issuance of an appropriate writ/writs, order / orders, direction/commanding the Respondents to grant promotion on the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector / GD with effect from 22.5.2012 i.e. the date his junior has been promoted and its consequential benefit to the petitioner and for any other relief or reliefs for which the petitioner is entitled under law as well as on facts."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.15740 of 2014(2) dt.13-07-2023 2/2 has submitted that though he has been orally informed by the petitioner today in the morning that the petitioner has been granted promotion on the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector in the year, 2016, however, his promotion was due with effect from the year, 2012, hence, the petitioner be granted liberty to agitate his grievances before the Respondents, regarding non-grant of promotion on the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector with retrospective effect i.e. with effect from the year, 2012. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands disposed off.
