JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 13-02-2023 Though the present writ petition has been filed seeking compensation for the death of the father of the petitioners, who is stated to have died on 13.6.2005 on account of electric burn, but during the interregnum period, ex-gratia payment, for loss of life of the deceased, to the tune of Rs. 25,000/- has already been paid, as per the circular of the Respondent-Electricity Company.

Patna High Court CWJC No.14094 of 2006(14) dt.13-02-2023 2/2 The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners would approach the competent court of civil jurisdiction having competent jurisdiction, for payment of additional compensation amount, hence, the petitioners be granted liberty to the aforesaid extent.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, I deem it fit and proper to grant liberty to the petitioners to take recourse to such remedies as are otherwise available under the law for the purposes of redressal of their grievances.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off as not pressed.
