1. Heard learned counsel for the parties concerned.

2. The present writ application has been filed for quashing the order, dated 14.07.2023, passed by Additional Collector, Gaya, in Jamabandi Cancellation Case No. 555/2019-20, filed by respondent nos. 5 and 6.

3. Mr. Mahendra Thakur, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that an appeal, bearing Demand Cancellation Appeal No. 40 of 2023, has also been filed by the petitioner before the respondent no. 2-Collector, Gaya, challenging the order, dated 14.07.2023, passed by the

Patna High Court CWJC No.6152 of 2025(2) dt.21-08-2025 2/2 Additional Collector, Gaya.

4. Learned counsel further submits that for the last two years, the appeal is pending before the Collector, Gaya, accordingly, the submission is that the respondent no. 2Collector, Gaya, be directed to dispose the appeal in accordance with law within a reasonable time frame.

5. Learned counsel for the State, referring to the counter affidavit, submits that recently, in the first week of June, 2025, the Collector, Gaya, has joined and steps are being taken for disposal of aforesaid Demand Cancellation Appeal No. 40 of 2023.

6. Considering the nature of prayer made by the petitioner and submissions advanced by learned counsel for the parties, the respondent no. 2-Collector, Gaya, is directed to dispose the Demand Cancellation Appeal No. 40 of 2023, in accordance with law, within a reasonable time frame, preferably within a period of six months.

7. With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ application stands disposed.
