Petitioner apprehend his arrest in Case No.12C2/2019, registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

Excise Official intercepted a Tata Sumo Gold vehicle bearing Registration No.BR-53A-4421 and on search, 630 litres illicit liquor was recovered.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the owner of the vehicle. The driver, Jairam Mandal, was plying the vehicle on hire and petitioner is not aware of carrying liquor in the vehicle by the driver. Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid and the fact that the petitioner is the owner of the vehicle, let petitioner,
