JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 25-10-2018 The present writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs - "(i) For issuance of proper writ in the nature of writ of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent authorities to restore the commercial electric connection to the premises of the petitioner which has been disconnected by the respondent authorities as the petitioner has already deposited the entire amount as per the bill supplied by the respondent.

(ii) For further direction to the respondent authorities to exonerate the petitioner from any criminal/civil liability. (iii) For any other relief(s) for which this Hon'ble Court deem fit and proper.

2. As none appeared on behalf of the petitioner, the

Patna High Court CWJC No.22450 of 2014 dt.25-10-2018 matter was passed over for a few cases. However, on repeat call, the petitioner was again not represented.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent-Power Company submits that the petitioner is not entitled to the reliefs sought and the electric connection was not restored to the petitioner's premises in view of the outstanding amount due from him which remained unpaid.

4. Having heard the learned counsel for the respondents and on consideration of the materials on record, this Court is not inclined to interfere in the matter. The details of the outstanding dues against the petitioner have been enumerated in paragraph-3 of the counter affidavit according to which, out of the total amount assessed at Rs. 6,04,346/- against the petitioner, an amount of Rs. 1,14,265/- only was deposited, leaving Rs. 4,90,080/- remaining unpaid. The stand of the respondents made in the counter affidavit has not been disputed and no rejoinder has been filed on behalf of the petitioner.
