2. The petitioner has prayed for bail in connection with Kalyanpur P.S. Case No. 53 of 2020 registered for the offence punishable under Section 304(B), 201, 34 of the IPC and Section 3⁄4 of the D.P. Act.
3. The case of the prosecution, in short, is that the petitioner is the brother-in-law of the deceased. The deceased was married to one Naresh Manjhi. It is further alleged that she was subjected to cruelty by her in-laws on account of nonfulfillment of the dowry demand of motorcycle, gold chain and cash of Rs. 25,000/-, and she was ultimately killed on 03.03.2020.
4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.27382 of 2026(2) dt.23-04-2026 2/2 petitioner has submitted that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. He has been falsely implicated in this case. Petitioner is the brother-in-law of the deceased and main thrust of the allegation is against the husband of the deceased who is already in custody. Moreover, the petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 28.01.2026.
5. The application for bail is opposed by learned APP for the State.
6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. ten thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned court below/successor court in connection with Kalyanpur P.S. Case No. 53 of 2020.
