18-02-2020 Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner, who is husband of opposite party no. 2, apprehends his arrest in Mansahi P.S. Case No. 117 of 2018 registered for the offence under Section 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. In view of specific allegation against the petitioner of demand of dowry coupled with torture, I am not inclined to extend the privilege of bail.

The prayer for bail stands rejected.
