Petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under section 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3/4 of the dowry Prohibition Act. Vide order dated 18.07.2019, with consent of the parties, the matter was referred to the Patna High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre and an interim report dated 14.11.2019 has been submitted by the mediator. From perusal of the report, it appears that both the parties have already settled the dispute on the terms and conditions as mentioned in the memorandum of agreement duly signed by the parties. Case No. 16 of 2018, subject to condition as laid down hereinabove and under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
