It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that during pendency of the writ petition, the District Compassionate Committee, Nalanda, Biharsharif in its meeting dated 6.12.2017 (Annexure 4) has recommended even petitioner's case for compassionate appointment. The recommendation has been made with a condition that the appointing authority may satisfy himself regarding the correctness of the certificates
Patna High Court CWJC No.17809 of 2014 dt.24-07-2018 2/2 submitted by the petitioner and that the candidate is otherwise fulfilling all other requisite qualifications. Since decision has also been taken by the respondents in respect of petitioner's claim, this Court does not consider it appropriate to keep the writ petition pending. The writ petition is disposed of with observation that the Inspector General of Police (Appeal/Budget/Welfare), Bihar to whom recommendation has been forwarded by the Superintendent of Police, Nalanda, Biharsharif should expedite claim of the petitioner and take a final decision to ensure that the benefits of the decision of the District Compassionate Committee, Nalanda, Biharsharif dated 6.12.2017 (Annexure 4) be made available to the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
