The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in a case instituted for the offences under Sections 409, 420, 120(B), 109 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act.

In paragraph 10 of the petition, learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that petitioner has retired in the year 1998 and this case has been lodged after his retirement. He has no knowledge about the pendency of the present case. Petitioner has recently came to know about the present case. In paragraph no.11 of the petition it has been stated that petitioner is aged

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.40701 of 2017 (2) dt.19-09-2017 about 79 years, he is suffering from several diseases and doctor has advised him for complete bed rest.

Looking to the facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of arrest or surrender within four weeks from today, let petitioners, namely, Manindranath Verma alias Manindar Kumar Verma alias Munindra Nath Verma alias Munindar Kumar Verma, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate-cum-Special Judge, Pupri, Sitamarhi, in connection with Sursand P.S. Case No.88 of 2000, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
