1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1(i) That the respondents be strictly directed to issued Caste Certificate of Dangi Caste under extremely Backward Class BC - 1 to all the citizen of Gaya and Nawada District whose names are enlisted in the list of BC-1.

(ii) That the respondents be strictly directed to issue Caste Certificates to 'Dangi' Caste people under extremely Backward Class (EBC) BC-1 because 'Dangi' Caste is enlisted in BC-1 category in Bihar for all purposes, which is evident from

Patna High Court CWJC No.7148 of 2024(2) dt.04-07-2024 2/3 Annx-p/12 of this writ petition.

(iii) That the respondents be also directed not to create superficial hurdles in issuing the Caste Certificate to the applicants of 'Dangi' caste under BC - 1 category including Barki Dangi & Chhotki Dangi as well who are part of 'Dangi' Caste. Such hurdles are being created for erroneous consideration.

(iv) That D.M. and all C.O. of Dist. - Nawada and Gaya be directed to grant Caste Certificate to 'Dangi' Caste under BC-1 category, because it has been asserted in Sec. - 9 of Bihar Gazette dt. - 9th March 2011 bearing no. - 61 (Annx-p/12) that after due verification of some documents, caste certificate must be issued frequently.

(v) That respondents be also directed not to create any superficial hurdles for erroneous consideration in future for issuing the Caste Certificate of 'Dangi' caste under BC - 1 category.

(vi) That the respondents be strictly prohibited to disturb those persons whose caste certificate have already been granted in Dangi and are in different services of this state.

(vii) That the respondents be also directed to pay the appropriate cost and compensation for unnecessary mental, physical and economic harassment done by the illegal acts of the respondents."

2. After some arguments, the learned counsel for the

Patna High Court CWJC No.7148 of 2024(2) dt.04-07-2024 3/3 petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondents for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. The writ petition stands disposed off.
