Union of India and Anr.

The petitioner has prayed for the following relief/s :- "for grant of regular bail, on behalf of the petitioner above named, who is languishing in custody since 11.05.2021, in connection with Murliganj P.S. Case No. 09/1989 dated 29.01.1989 (Corresponding G.R. No. 68 of 1989 / CIS No.

2/5 1581/2015), being made an accused for offences registered under Sections 364/34 of the Indian Penal Code."

Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition.

Permission granted.

The present petition was filed seeking grant of bail pending trial of an offence in relation to Police Case No. 09/1989 dated 29th of January, 1989 registered under Section 364/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

It is stated at the bar that the petitioner stands acquitted in relation to the said offence. Hence, the petition has become infructuous.

However, the petition reveals that there are 31 other cases pending against the instant petitioner. Particulars whereof are furnished in paragraph no.3 of the petition, which is reproduced as under :-

5/5 Registrar General of this Court shall call for a report with regard to the status of these cases and have it placed on the administrative side.

Needful be positively done within next three weeks. Petition stands disposed of as not pressed.
