1. The petitioner by way of this writ petition prays as under:

"(I). That this petition of the petitioner is being filed for issuance of writ of appropriate nature, order or direction quashing memo no. 633 dated 16.5.13 issued under the signature of Senior Deputy Collector, district establishment Bhagalpur and the decision of selection committee contained in memo no. 98 dt. 15.4.13. The respondents have refused to grant petitioner weightage of 4 points for his age on calculating it as on 24.12.91, ( which is the last day of submitting application form), and

Patna High Court CWJC No.20453 of 2013(2) dt.23-01-2023 2/2 have deprived him of gaining requisite points for his age approaching 26 years for coming under Zone of Consideration. Such act is discriminatory and against the guidelines prescribed in resolution dt. 28.1.76. The petitioner also prays for an order commanding respondents to consider petitioner's weightage points in accordance with law and appoint him to the post of VLW with consequential relief, which were given to similar situate persons."

2. The selection process was again initiated in terms of directions of the Supreme Court in the year 1991. He has filed a writ petition in 2013, for the purpose of selection of the advertisement in 1991, period of an advertisement and selection process cannot be continued for unlimited time. By efflux of time the writ petition has become infructuous and no relief can be granted.
