The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Bhitaha Police Station Case No. 65 of 2019, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 20 (b) (ii) (b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

This is the second attempt on behalf of the petitioner for grant of bail. Earlier, the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court, vide order, dated 13.01.2020, passed in Criminal Misc. No. 77087 of 2019, giving liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail after framing of charge. Learned Counsel for the petitioner, referring to paragraph 10 of this application, submits that the charges have

After having heard learned Counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the fact that charges against the petitioner have been framed on 18.02.2020, I am inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.

This application is allowed.

Accordingly, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail, upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 25,000/- (twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge, West Champaran, at Bettiah, in connection with Bhitaha Police Station Case No. 65 of 2019.

It is made clear that at the time of furnishing bail bonds, all the parties shall follow the guidelines regarding lockdown and social distancing.
