Learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to remove the defect(s) if any, within three weeks. The present application has been filed for modification of the order dated 20.01.2023 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 1717 of 2023 to the extent of extending the period of surrender.

On the grounds mentioned in the modification application, the period of surrender is extended by four weeks after depositing Rs. 2000/- in the victim compensation fund from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order in connection with Chakia P.S. Case No. 278 of 2022 pending in the court of learned Exclusive Special Excise Court No. 1, Motihari, East Champaran.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.29514 of 2023(2) dt.03-05-2023 2/2 The order dated 20.01.2023 is modified to the extent indicated above.

Accordingly, this modification application stands disposed of.
