JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 11-07-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1. i) A direction may be given to the respondents i.e. the Regional Passport Officer, Patna, Respondent No.3 for issuance of passport to the petitioner on the basis of her birth certificate dated i.e. 02.02.2002 issued by appropriate authorities as well as the Matriculation School Leaving Certificate in which the same date of birth has been mentioned by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi dated 03.06.2017.

No. SCN/326102236/24 issued by the Regional Passport Officer, Patna dated 12.02.2024 with regard to the clarification/ explanation of the date of birth that was mentioned in her earlier passport in Passport No. E0081985 in File No.

15/1377/01 which mentioned the age of petitioner as 02.08.2000 which was valid for up to 30.10.2001 to 29.10.2006 and time to time upgraded to her and further extended to 22.01.2007 to 21.01.2012 vide Passport No. G1133645 File No.

PATC00220206, Patna hat was issued in her minority age.

iii) For issuance of an appropriate writs in the nature of Mandamus or any other writs be issued to the respondents holding that if due to any advertence on the part of the petitioner's father an excusable error was committed in her date of birth when she was minor and now when she has attained the age of majority and in a position to apprise the authority with respect to correct date of birth which is recorded in her

02.02.2002 instead of 02.08.2000 which is written in the earlier passport issued by the authority concern on the information by her father during her minority and that has been cancelled by the competent authority."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent no. 3 i.e. the Regional Passport Officer, Patna, for redressal of her aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands disposed off.
