The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Sanokhar P.S. Case No. 153 of 2019 registered for the offence under Section 406, 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, this petitioner was paid Rs. 6,07,000/- (six lacs seven thousand), vide cheques of different dates, to complete certain works in the panchayat under the scheme of 'Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal', but the petitioner did not complete the work.

It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that the work has already been completed.

However, learned A.P.P. for the State, by filing counter affidavit, submits that the petitioner, in spite of several reminders, did not complete work and had received total amount

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.36311 of 2021(8) dt.24-08-2022 2/2 for incomplete work. The Managing Committee of the said panchayat completed the remaining work.

Considering the same, the prayer for anticipatory bail of petitioner is rejected.
