The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Baisi P.S. Case No. 249 of 2021 pending in the Court of learned Exclusive Special Excise Judge, Court No.1, Purnia in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 272 and 273/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 30(a), 38, 41 and 47 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

Allegedly, it is a case of recovery of illicit liquor from the truck of this petitioner.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case. He further submits that the petitioner has got clean antecedent.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.27317 of 2022(2) dt.04-11-2022 2/2 Learned APP appearing for the State has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail.

In view of the fact that the said illicit liquor was recovered from the truck of this petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail stands rejected.
