On the last occasion, when the matter was taken up on 18.02.2026, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and the Court, after considering the submissions of the learned Advocate for the NIT, recorded as follows: "2. Learned counsel for the N.I.T submits that the petitioner has already been allotted hostel and therefore, her grievance has been redressed. It is perhaps due to this reason that the petitioner has stopped attending this case. Since the petitioner is not present to confirm this, therefore, this case is adjourned by two weeks for enabling the petitioner to appear (in person) and apprise this Court as to whether the submission made by the N.I.T. is correct or not."

4. Considering the submissions advanced and the fact that there is none to represent the petitioner despite opportunity extended earlier, this Court finds no reason to continue with the present proceeding. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed for want of prosecution.
