JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 03-12-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Complaint Case No.C1-2014 of 2013 in which cognizance has been taken for the offence punishable under section 498A of the Indian Penal Code.

It is contended that there is no truth behind the allegation made in the complaint regarding demand of dowry or subjecting the complainant to cruelty for non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. It is further contended that it would be evident from the complaint itself that the marriage was solemnized in the year

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.17707 of 2015 (5) dt.03-12-2015 2/2 1998 and the present case was lodged after fifteen years on 27th June, 2013.

Regard being had to the nature of offence and assertions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the provisional anticipatory bail granted to the petitioner vide order dated 8.9.2015 is hereby confirmed.
