This application for grant of regular bail arises out of Raniganj P.S. Case No. 203 of 2019 registered for the offence punishable under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code. Petitioner's prayer for regular bail was rejected by an order dated 29.02.2020 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 10399 of 2020. The petitioner was granted liberty to renew his prayer for bail after three months, if there was no progress at the trial. It is in the said background that the present application renewing prayer for bail has been filed. The petitioner is in custody since 23.09.2019.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that there is no substantial progress at the trial.

Considering the period for which the petitioner has
