1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1(A) For issuance of a Writ of certiorari or any other appropriate Writ quashing the order contained in Memo No.2337/Ji/Sa.

Madhubani dated 29.09.2016 (Annexure-3) whereby the appointment of the petitioner on the post of Chaukidar in the district of Madhubani has illegally been declined.

Patna High Court CWJC No.6666 of 2023(2) dt.05-02-2024 2/2 (B) For commanding the respondents concerned to appoint the petitioner on the place of his father in the terms of Rule-5, Sub- Rule (Ka) of the Bihar Chaukidari Cadre (Amendment) Rules, 2014."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
