That the present writ application is being filed for quashing the merit list published on 09.08.2013 as well as select list published on 22.09.2013 pursuant to the advertisement published on 26.06.2010 in daily newspaper

Patna High Court CWJC No.22964 of 2013(2) dt.22-06-2023 2/3 Hindustan for selection and appointment on the post of Dresser in the Department of Prison and Reforms Services, Home Department, Government of Bihar, Patna and further for issuance of order or direction commanding the respondents not to proceed/appoint in terms of merit list as well as select list [as mentioned above]till the final outcome of this writ petition."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondent-Central Selection Board of Constable, Bihar, Patna has referred to the counter affidavit filed in the present case to submit that pursuant to an advertisement published on 26.06.2010 in the daily newspaper Hindustan for selection and appointment on the post of Dresser in the Department of Prison and Reforms Services, Home Department, Government of Bihar, Patna, the written examination was held on 28.04.2013, in which the petitioner had appeared as a general category candidate and then the petitioner along with 386 other candidates were declared successful, result whereof was published on

Patna High Court CWJC No.22964 of 2013(2) dt.22-06-2023 3/3 31.07.2013, whereafter laboratory test was conducted and finally the Board had sent recommendation of 87 successful candidates to the concerned department for appointment on the post of Dresser vide letter dated 04.09.2013. It is submitted that the petitioner has secured 44 marks whereas the cut off marks in her category is 46, hence she could not make it to the final select list and could not be appointed as a Dresser. Having regard to the aforesaid stand taken by the respondent Board in the present case, I do not find any merit in the present writ petition, hence the same stands dismissed.
