JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 07-08-2018 The petitioner by way of the present writ petition has prayed for directing the respondents to pay revised salary to the petitioner on account of the fact that till date the respondents are paying him the salary of Work Supervisor and the same has not been revised.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is entitled to promotion since he has been working on the same post since the date of his absorption in the year 1985. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondents has

Patna High Court CWJC No.12829 of 2008 (15) dt.07-08-2018 2/2 submitted that the petitioner was initially appointed in the pay scale of Rs. 85-110/- in the Work Charge Establishment and thereafter his pay scale has been revised, fixed and approved in the pay scale of Rs. 220-315/- which was revised from time to time and finally the same has been revised to Rs. 3200-4900/- as per the resolution of the Finance Department in the scale of PB-1 of Work Supervisor.

I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and gone through the materials on record and I find that no rule or regulation has been shown to this Court to show that any promotional avenues exist as far as grant of promotion to a Work Supervisor is concerned.

In view of the aforesaid, there is no merit in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the same is dismissed. (Mohit Kumar Shah, J) S.Sb/- U
