Petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Chanpatia P.S. Case No. 28 of 2018 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 387, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
Allegation against the petitioner and other accused persons is of demanding extortion from the informant, who is running a school, on the point of pistol.
Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that no specific allegation has been attributed against the petitioner and he has no criminal antecedent.
Heard learned APP, who has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.24196 of 2018 (2) dt.02-05-2018 2/2 Having heard both sides and in the facts and circumstances, this is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail. However, let petitioner surrender and make prayer for regular bail, which will be considered on its own merit, without being prejudiced by the order of this court.
