Father of the petitioner was working as technician in the office of the Deputy Development Commissioner, Katihar. It is the petitioner's case that his father died in harness on 14.10.2009. Petitioner has submitted application for claiming of appointment on compassionate ground on 29.10.2012 (annexure 5) to the writ petition. Grievance of the petitioner is that no decision has been taken by the authority on the claim of the petitioner.

Patna High Court CWJC No.12470 of 2014 dt.22-04-2019 2/2 Learned senior counsel submits that he will supplement his claim for placing reliance on decision in the case of Suraj Kumar vs State of Bihar & others passed on 31.03.2011 in CWJC no. 1176 of 2007 within four weeks along with copy of this order. Since decision has to be taken by the authorities themselves, no useful purpose will be served keeping writ petition pending.

Writ petition is, therefore, disposed off with direction to respondent no. 2 (Director, Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency, 3rd Floor, Sone Bhawan, Birchand Patel Path, Patna) to take final decision on petitioner's claim by reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law within three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of petitioner's claim along with copy of this order.
