Petitioner is aggrieved by inactiveness on the part of the Rent Controller in fixing the fair rent under the scheme of Bihar Building (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1982. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has approached the Rent Controller to enhance the rent of the premises of the petitioner which is taken on rent by

Patna High Court CWJC No.8586 of 2019(2) dt.22-04-2019 2/2 the respondents but no action was taken by the rent controller on the application of the petitioner for fixing of fair rent. Considering the statutory scheme, the Rent Controller shall be under obligation to take step for fixation of fair rent after call for report and after hearing the necessary parties, the Court directs to rent controller decide the case at the earliest preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the present application stands disposed of.
