Petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Complaint Case No. 3691 (C) of 2018 instituted for the offence punishable under sections 498A, 120B, 379 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case by the complainant with a view to put pressure on the petitioner and his family and extort illegal benefits and disproportionate money. Petitioner is the father-in-law of the complainant and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24656 of 2019(2) dt.17-04-2019 2/2 has never demanded any dowry from her. Petitioner is an old man aged about 80 years and he is a man of clean antecedent. Learned counsel appearing for the informant opposes the prayer for bail and submits that apart from the allegations of demand of dowry, the petitioner being the fatherin-law of the complainant should take care of the complainant and ensure her well being.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the complainant being the widow wife of his son will certainly get her share to which she is entitled in law.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of arrest or surrender within a period of four weeks from today, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, IX, Patna in connection with Complaint Case No. 3691 (C) of 2018 subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
