JUSTICE SANDEEP KUMAR ORAL ORDER 22-05-2023 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State. Let the defect(s), if any, be removed within a period of four weeks from today.

The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Excise P.S. Case No. 712 of 2023 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 30(a), 32, 38, 41(i) and 47 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The petitioner is accused of smuggling of 4000 litres of illicit spirit which is used for manufacturing of illicit liquor and people are dying by consuming illicit liquor. In view of the facts and circumstances, as mentioned above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
