The present petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs :- "(i) For issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to grant first and second Assured Carrier Progression (ACP/ MACP) to the petitioner who is entitled since 01.03.2000.
(ii) The respondents are further directed to pay the entire arrears of difference of salary and consequential benefits from the date of his entitlement of A.C.P./ M.A.C.P. "

The short prayer made by the petitioner is to direct
Patna High Court CWJC No.23969 of 2013 dt.05-07-2023 2/2 the District Magistrate, Nalanda to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of A.C.P./M.A.C.P., as aforesaid. 3.
The learned counsel for the respondent State submits that in case, the case of the petitioner has not already been considered for the purposes of grant of A.C.P./ M.A.C.P., the same would definitely be considered within a fixed time frame.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to dispose off the present writ petition with a direction to the District Magistrate, Nalanda to process the case of the petitioner for grant of benefits of A.C.P./ M.A.C.P., if not already processed, and grant the same, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from today, failing which, the District Magistrate, Nalanda shall not draw his salary.
