JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 19-04-2019 The land, subject matter of present proceeding, was acquired in 1978, when manifestly the petitioner was not even born. He claims that no compensation amount was paid to any of his family members against the said acquisition. The petitioner started corresponding with the authorities seeking information in 2019.

After more than 40 years of acquisition, this Court is not inclined to go into the question whether the petitioner is entitled for any amount of compensation or not. Delay in approaching this Court has also not all been explained

However, the petitioner shall be at liberty to approach the authorities and, if he does so, the authorities may examine the petitioner's claim as to whether the amount of compensation was paid or not.
