2. The petitioner, who is in custody since 27.12.2024, seeks regular bail in connection with Bhagwanpur P.S. Case No. 382 of 2024 registered for the offence under Sections 103(1) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is accused of killing his wife. The dead body was recovered from a field.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the deceased has committed suicide whereas in the impugned order, a stand was taken that unknown persons had killed the deceased when she had gone out to ease herself.

5. It was the duty of the petitioner to inform the police if some unknown persons killed his wife. In this Court he is taking a stand that the deceased had committed suicide.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this application for regular bail is hereby rejected.
