The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Complaint Case No. 838 of 2018 registered for the offence under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution case is that the petitioner has got married with the complainant Ramita Devi and she lived in relationship with petitioner with the consent of family members thereafter, complainant became pregnant and she gave birth to a child on 07.01.2018, but later on, the petitioner has tortured and assaulted his wife. The petitioner is the husband. Hence, it is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail.
