2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Banka P.S. Case No. 687 of 2019 registered for the offence under Sections 307, 504, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.
3. As per the prosecution case, the accused persons intercepted the informant and her father-in-law near Jasidih railway bridge, assaulted and threatened them over withdrawal of a case and thereafter Gaurav Yadav along with this petitioner and Arun Yadav allegedly fired gunshots at Mokkil Yadav, who managed to escape.
4. The petitioner is in custody since 19.02.2026. He is an absconder in a case of 2019.

Considering the nature and gravity of the allegations, the specific accusation against the petitioner of firing gunshots at the victim and the fact that he remained absconding in the present case which was instituted in the year 2019, this Court is not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner for the present.
6. Accordingly, this application for regular bail stands dismissed.
7. It is made clear that any observation made herein is prima facie in nature and limited solely for the purpose of adjudication of the present bail application. Such observations shall not be construed as an expression on the merits of the case and shall not influence the trial or any other proceedings in any manner.
