2. The petitioner has filed the instant application for the following reliefs:

" (i) For the grant of proper direction to the authority concerned (Resp. No. 3, 4) to dispose of the case vide Vigilance case no. 11/2022 Pritam Arora .... Petitioner Vs Municipal commissioner (P.M.C) and others...... Respondents, which is pending since 2022 before the Resp. No.3 for order, when the matter relates to the mutation in the name of the petitioner over the land/house in question (bearing house No. L-1/14,

(ii) For the grant of other relief/reliefs to which the petitioner is found entitled to."

At the outset, it is pointed out by learned counsel for the Patna Municipal Corporation that though the petitioner prays for disposal of his pending case/application for mutation, however from perusal of paragraph nos.10 and 11 of the writ application, it transpires that the petitioner himself is not sure about the pendency of his application and the authority before whom it is pending.

4. Paragraph nos.10 and 11 of the writ application is reproduced herein above for ready reference:

"10. That the petitioner, having being possessed with the said land/house, under the capacity of the legal leasee of the same executed by the real leasee and paying the holding tax of the same. The petitioner has applied for the mutation of said land/house vide case no. 139/2015-16 before the Resp. No. 4 on 23/05/2015, but nothing is done by the Resp. No. 4 as yet.

11. That having being considered this aspect of the matter, the petitioner has persuaded the matter before the Resp. No. 3 for mutation of his name by filing petition vide vigilance case no. 11/2022 on 22/07/2015 for the said land/house and to issue the holding/revenue tax of the said property in his name,

Patna High Court CWJC No.6997 of 2026(2) dt.23-06-2026 3/3 but the matter is still pending. And the Ld. Resp. no. 3, 4 are sitting over the matter un-necessarily causing serious pre-judice and harassment to the petitioner."

The writ application is disposed of directing the petitioner to file an application along with a copy of this order before the appropriate authority before whom as per the petitioner, his application is pending and on the same being filed, the authority concerned shall proceed in accordance with law and decide the application of the petitioner expeditiously preferably within a period of four months from the date of its filing.

6. It is made clear that the Court has not entered into the merits of the case of the petitioner which is to be decided by the authority concerned.

7. The writ application stands disposed of.
