JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 18-06-2018 The learned senior counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are confining their relief to the extent of non-payment of salary for the period from 06.06.1989 till their promotion up to the year 2004 during which the petitioners had been posted and worked as In-Charge Sub-Inspector of Excise. The learned senior counsel submits that though the petitioners had discharged the functions of Sub-Inspector of Excise, still they have not been paid the salary for the period 1989 to 2004.

In view of the aforesaid, the respondents are directed to consider the claim of the petitioners for grant of salary and for grant of additional / differential amount of salary for the period 1989 to 2004 during which the petitioners had worked and discharged the functions of Sub-Inspector of

Patna High Court CWJC No.13421 of 2010 (6) dt.18-06-2018 2/2 Excise. The respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioners within a period of four weeks from today and pass a reasoned and speaking order.

It is further directed that in case the respondents find favour with the case of the petitioners, the consequential benefits shall then be paid within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

The writ petition is disposed of on the aforesaid terms. In view of the fact that nobody has appeared on behalf of the respondents, let a copy of this order be sent to the respondent no. 2 by the Registry of this Court for necessary compliance. (Mohit Kumar Shah, J) S.Sb/- U
