The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 304B, 201 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, the daughter of the informant was married to the son of the petitioner herein. She was tortured, abused and assaulted for non-fulfillment of demand of dowry and was done to death.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner who happens to be the father-in-law of the deceased has been falsely implicated in the case. The allegations leveled in the FIR are false and concocted. He has no concern with the affairs of his son who is married to the daughter of the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.27566 of 2022(3) dt.16-01-2023 2/2 informant, since deceased. The petitioner has remained in custody since 30.8.2021 and charge sheet has been submitted in the case.

Heard learned APP for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the petitioner being the father-in-law of the deceased, the material that has transpired in course of investigation, the petitioner being in custody for 1 year 4 months since 30.8.2021 and charge sheet having been submitted in the case, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Janta Bazar P.S. Case no. 147 of 2020 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate I, Saran at Chapra.
