Patna High Court MJC No.1273 of 2024(7) dt.25-07-2025 2/2 Committee under the Chairmanship of Managing Director, Bihar State Housing Board, Patna has taken a final decision in its meeting held on 18.4.2023, as is contained in memo dated 4.5.2023. Thereafter, a seven member Committee was constituted by the Bihar State Housing Board, Patna and a decision was taken to pay ex-gratia compensation amount to the tune of Rs. 40,20,300/- to the petitioner as per the mandate of Digha Acquired Land Settlement Rules, 2014, which has also stood paid to the petitioner.

At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the compensation amount has not been paid as per the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, hence seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to take recourse to the due process of law for agitating subsisting grievances as also for assailing the aforesaid decisions taken by the Bihar State Housing Board, Patna. Liberty, so sought, is granted. 3.
Accordingly, the present contempt petition stands disposed off.
